Sulfur gas gusts and an acidic lake (pH around 0.2). Gas masks help but do not make you invincible — follow your guide.
Mount Bromo

Dust and ash on dry days and many crater steps. PVMBG activity status can change the safe approach radius.
Tumpak Sewu

Canyon trails are steep, muddy and exposed, with improvised ladders. We never force guests to go lower.
